The United States of America Mathematical Olympiad, run by the Mathematical Association of America and first held in 1972. Entry is by invitation, chiefly on AIME scores, and the olympiad is sat over two consecutive days of three proof problems each, with four and a half hours per day. Students who reached the AIME through the AMC 10 sit the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), held alongside it since 2010.
